EPS-300 – Polyolefin, Dual Wall
What is EPS-300?
EPS-300 is a semi-rigid, radiation cross-linked, heat shrinkable, dual-wall polyolefin material that is rated for continuous operation at 125 degrees C. As EPS-300 shrinks, the inner adhesive liner melts and flows to seal and encapsulate components or splices contained within. The adhesive bond develops excellent peel strength depending upon substrate material composition.
Standard colors of EPS-300 are black and clear. The black material is flame retardant and conforms to UL requirements.
The unique clear material may be used when encapsulation and see-through inspection are required.
In fabrication, care must be taken machining G7 laminate due to the low internal bond strengths inherent in silicone resins.
