Kynar
What is Kynar?
Kynar is a cross-linked, heat shrinkable, polyvinylidene fluoride fluoroplastic. It is transparent in color, and it has a continuous temperature rating of -500 to 175 degrees C.
Kynar is normally used in applications requiring an excellent high continuous temperature rating, flame and chemical resistance and rigidity for strain relief, as well as excellent resistance to cut-through and abrasion.
Kynar is commonly used for wire strain relief, rigid insulation of disconnects or components, hydraulic line coupling anti-rotation covers, and wire markers in high temperature locations.
