Viton
What is Viton?
The Viton irradiation crosslinked, heat-shrinkable tubings withstand a wide variety of fuels, lubricants, acids, and highly corrosive fluids at temperatures up to 200 degrees C. The outstanding high-temperature fluid performance of these tubings has resulted in their selection as protective wiring and component cover in aircraft/aerospace applications including electronic control systems and hydraulic fluid transport mechanisms and in chemical plants.
In addition to their continuous operating temperature and chemical resistance properties, these tubing are very flexible. At the same time, they are highly abrasion and cut-through resistant. The tubings are easily marked by hot-stamping or print-wheel methods, enabling permanent identification of wire bundles, terminals, and connectors.
