C & CE Phenolic
C & CE Phenolics are high pressure laminates with cotton canvas fabric as their base material. It is a strong, tough material suitable for gears and other applications requiring high impact strength. These grades are also suited for electrical applications which require greater toughness than provided by XX Paper. This grade is not recommended for primary insulation. CE is superior to C grade in applications requiring moisture resistance.
CE can be fabricated using standard machine tools and it is among the easiest to machine of all the thermosetting industrial laminated plastics.
